Pharmacy Plus is a specialist supplier of pharmacy services to Nursing and Residential homes. This role presents a unique opportunity for a suitable individual to make a real difference to the service we offer to our customers. As part of our Regional Pharmacy Team, you will act as the responsible pharmacist for the dispensary at our Regional Service Centres. Your activities will mainly comprise of clarifying prescriptions with surgeries and care homes, dispensing of prescriptions, ensuring effective stock management and complying with current regulations and standard operating procedures.
As a successful candidate you must have good communication skills with an ability to understand processes and to identify issues and solve problems. You must also be self motivated and be able to manage your own time and activities. You must have some basic IT skills to find your way around our specially designed software system.
Location: Southampton, London, Norwich, Leeds.
Hours: 40 hours per week (8hrs/day) Monday – Friday
Professional Duties
To act as the responsible pharmacist
Ensure the dispensing activities and procedures are adhered to
Liaise with medical surgeries to clarify prescriptions
Clinically check prescriptions
Physically dispense and check prescriptions for accuracy
Ensure appropriate stock control and ordering
Requirements
- Must be self motivated and self organised
- Enthusiastic about delivering better care for Care Homes
- Willing to learn new roles, processes and concepts
- IT literate essential
- GPhC registration completed
Pay: Full time salaried, starting from £30K per annum
5 weeks holiday per annum
